    And are you seriously okay, as a sports journalist, with east coast and Midwest papers going to print without the winner of the late playoff game because - Goddamit, all this tradition is so great.

    I don't think "going to print" means shit anymore.

    But people shouldn't have to go to bed with the game still in the third quarter.

    Why are you even playing the damn games if people can't watch them?

    That dog hunted 30 years ago. We haven't had a day World Series game since 1987. The NBA Finals regularly start at 9:15 p.m. EST. March Madness has gone off at 9:20 p.m. EST for more than two decades.

    I left print on the East Coast 13 years ago because it's much better out here for these situations.

    Anyway, hell of a game in Pasadena.

    I agree that this game is taking too long. It's hard to hold off on the big LOL for those who counted out Penn St. in the first quarter and/or who used that conclusion to proceed with more chest-pounding based on thrilling, sport-shaping victories over 6-6 TCU, 6-6 Indiana, and 6-6 Miami (OH).
