I noticed the Democrats were very courageous in their structuring of the ACA and its rollout ... even to this day lots of those "bad parts" haven't fully phased in. I wonder what it was about 2016/2017 that seemed like a good time for those to begin to take full effect.

    It's a puzzler, that's for sure...

Nah, that would be ridiculously stupid politics. Float a fully fleshed-out plan that under the best of situations would be modestly popular and is certain to give your competition
plenty of juicy targets? In the certainty that there's no way in hell it'll get passed?

A low probability of success may not be the only factor as it hasn't stopped them before.

The GOP won't have an Obamacare replacement ready to present until 2018.

People are actually supporting what those assholes did?

They did that so they could go to their constituents during the next campaign and tell them they voted against Obamacare. That's different than putting a detailed plan out there.

Now, do they have one? I have no clue. But if they did, you wouldn't have seen it then.

Maybe a few people who thought it was actually Trump being beaten?

The ACA is so interwoven into the healthcare system that it is, in a sense, "inoperable." Repealing it completely without a replacement will paralyze the system. There'll be a lot of talk but no action for a good long while.

Trump promised he will have a better and cheaper plan. Why would anyone quibble with that, doc?
