Well, at least they won't be churning out "Bin Laden Determined to Attack in America" memos the Trump geniuses will be forced to ignore.

Right. I was being nice. I don't really think any Republicans have thought beyond -- Get rid of Obamacare!

I think plan B has always been to keep it 99 percent the same and call it TrumpCare.

So what's stopping them from rolling out their well-crafted plans now?

Uh, yes and no. I could see both sides of that gold coin argument. The NSA can listen in on EVERY phone call in the US (or at least they could up to the 1990s), they monitor internet traffic, cells and texts and now transmissions between apps. So, if used inappropriately, yeah, they could impact our freedoms but maybe not completely kill our democracy.

Putin on the other hand could push a few buttons and cause a major fucking headache of incoming missiles....

Asking for a Republican alternative very much misses their objection.

Their alternative is the free market, not a government plan at all.

I don't get this either. I posted a mostly jokey thing on Facebook about Trump and one of my conservative friends added a comment curious whether I was going to post anything about what those "fine liberal individuals in Chicago did."

He went on to say you won't hear the story on MSNBC or CNN.

    1. I guess maybe they are liberal because they are black and hate Trump? OK. I am not going to ask for proof or anything.
    2. Do I really have to watch MSNBC and CNN now to make sure they are not covering assholes in Chicago? I've seen it on the other news channels.
    3. If you want people to condemn this kind of activity, does a white person being against white people being beaten advance the issue much?

As a free(er) market type, this (which plays out across multiple topics) gets very frustrating.

"Tell us how you'd wield the levers of the state to improve thus-and-such."
"I'd like the state to be even less involved than it currently is."
    "See! No plan!"

Yuh that's a completely unforeseeable effect of a trade war with China. Damn that Obungo.

I saw a segment on CNN about that last night.

I guess that guy missed it.

I've been listening to the radio all afternoon, and it's been the lead story on the news updates every half hour -- including that the perpetrators are being charged with hate crimes.

I'm glad they're getting the coverage they deserve for their hard work.
    Maybe they'll get scholarships.
