Question: I don't think his name has even come up here, but why hasn't Darrell Bevell ever landed a head coaching job? Is he even considered a candidate for any of the openings?

Favre endorsed him for the Rams' spot, but his name doesn't seem to be very hot. It does seem like he has had at least a half-dozen interviews in the recent past. I wonder if there's a coach-in-waiting situation with 65-year-old Pete Carroll.

Was always curious how much one play affected his stock:

That's what I was wondering, too. You hire him, you hire "the guy who ..."

You also had Richard Sherman in a pissing match with him this year.

This is beyond dumb. The Seahawks have a better percentage of scoring when they throw from inside the two then when they run. At worst, 99 times out of a 100 an incompletion. Butler made a great play.

    For the record:
    1) I agree with you.
    2) Not saying it actually IS a factor - it might not be.

Just thought he'd have a HC gig by now. And just wondered if that play was a factor. I don't trust NFL teams to be smart. At least not the ones often looking for new coaches.

Sorry, wasn't directed at you but I have no doubt that it does play a factor which is ridiculous.

That's a tall claim. They may not be the most dysfunctional NFL team on the shores of Lake Erie.

49ers are a very tough out in the dysfunction tournament:
