President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

There are some people -- or so I am told -- who were born and raised here and are not Christians.

That said, Christmas is hardly a religious holiday anymore. The war on Christmas was won by retailers long ago.

 

I was just interjecting to clarify some terminology. I have little patience with any such bitching and think it deserves about as much policy attention as Lena Dunham.

My Facebook friends from home, however, have got me to thinking about a particular facet of that nonsense. I would assume that many/most of them voted for Trump, and I would further assume that many/most of those who did so articulated some yearning to win those jobs back from those conniving Chinese. Yet I'd wager their Thanksgiving turkey hadn't even gotten cold before they started drenching their homes in the red and green of the "season with a reason." Which is kinda ironic seeing as how the only reason they could afford to be so lavish with that decorating is because most of that stuff was (wait for it) produced in China!

I am technically, officially, Catholic. As a matter of day-to-day observance, probably not so much.

If I go to a Christmas pageant at a school, I want it Catholic, Catholic, Catholic. With lots and lots and lots of veneration of the Blessed Virgin Mary. And references to our leader His Holiness The Pope In Rome! You got that?
