    Well, that would be significant for another reason. Finding an instance of the FISA court not rubber stamping whatever extralegal thing the NSA or FBI wants to do, is like finding a needle in a haystack -- the FISA court approves 99.7 percent of the warrant requests (which get done in secrecy).

    Indeed. But the FBI did seek the warrant. Perhaps Comey could've written a letter about that, too.
    It must not be a pleasant evening to be a Republican member of Congress. Trump's their time bomb, someone able to blow the party to hell by design or more crap like this and they will live with that in the back of their heads as long as he's in office.
    It'd be in their best interests to dump him ASAP. President Pence will do all they desire. He's one of them, and a lot duller, which the country would really like. But they don't have the guts.

    I wonder about the intelligence officers who delivered the briefing on this document to Trump. Was it super awkward? Or did they just love every second?
