Could even call it an International law firm, given its presence in so many places. They even opened an office in Shanghai, China last year. FYI, I have to spend a lot of time in Philadephia. I am not far from their office. They have always struck me as one of the rare Philadelphia businesses that doesn't act provincial to the point of holding itself back.

That's EXACTLY what a Russian spy would say!

I worked in a different office, but during part of the time that I was there, my girlfriend was at Penn Law so I sometimes worked out of the Philly office. It was 20 years ago, but boy was it stuffy. I was admonished for not wearing my suit jacket on the elevator.

This strikes me as a rather irrational overreaction. Gee merely pointed out an amusing factoid. He never seriously suggested the place was a den of spies.

Are you sure you weren't really just wanting to tell us how you once worked there?

In truth, the provenance of the 35-page dossier is well known in proper channels. Some of its assertions have been made by other NATO intelligence agencies, privately. Some of its claims are false, some are true, and some may linger between truth and fiction indefinitely. What’s important here is that the IC leadership decided to brief a small circle of the most senior American officials on that dossier’s findings. They don’t do that, ever—treating raw private intelligence reports by foreigners as worthy of briefing to “the top”—unless they can corroborate significant portions of it.

How do you blackmail a person who feels no shame?

    Trump is therefore un-blackmailable.

Not 100% sure, but we do know he was great in it.

The king of SJ.com fake news is giving us the rundown on how intelligence community works? Priceless. BTW, thoughts on college basketball needing to emulate college baseball?
