Yep, they'll just have to die. That's the GOP way.

If that aggregate benefit is more concentrated, is that actually a good outcome? It's not as if peak productivity is some sort of noble goal in itself.

Anyway, you're well aware if you want the government out of healthcare, you'll be shattering and rebuilding the whole healthcare system in a massive market correction. Come through that, and you still have the fact the market can't actually function in a consumer-producer/distributor arrangement because of rational actor and asymmetric information problems. You'll have to hope some kind of structures evolve that create create buffers that also happens to be efficent and expert enough that good incentives fall into place. And it'll all come together over a long-term timeline.

But of course, none of that will happen. No politician is ever going to do it. The dent it would put in the GDP alone would get that party swept out of office (I respect that the GDP is a bit illusory in that way, but optics). People won't allow it to happen. So what'll we have? Probably a slow bleed toward socialized medicine across decades or maybe just staying with the wonderfully inefficient system we have now while letting costs and debt balloon out. Should be a mess either way. There's almost no outcome where people are happy, but perhaps that's the key to all of it.

Half the Republicans in Congress believe they won't face a mid-term. They believe Trump will push a red button and Jeebus will pop out.

In the same month Mr Steele produced a memo, which went to the FBI, stating that Mr Trump’s campaign team had agreed to a Russian request to dilute attention on Moscow’s intervention in Ukraine. Four days later Mr Trump stated that he would recognise Moscow’s annexation of Crimea. A month later officials involved in his campaign asked the Republican party’s election platform to remove a pledge for military assistance to the Ukrainian government against separatist rebels in the east of the country.

Comey's testicles need to be in a vice while a blowtorch is applied to them. There needs to be an explanation that holds water or treason charges.

Yeah, it wasn't my best work. I had a five-hour flight, four Delta drink coupons that were due to expire in February and a strong sense of duty not to waste them, so I was drunk-posting from 39,000 in the air.

How can I tell it's fake news (not to be confused with typical PR)?

    No -30-
