Can't stand the Pack, but props to Rodgers. He's at the peak of his powers.

Third year of new playoff TV rights. ESPN gets the first game on Saturday of wild-card weekend. NBC gets the Saturday night wild-card game. Fox/CBS split the Sunday games.

Divisional weekend: The network (Fox or CBS) that has the late game of the conference championship games -- and thus the higher-rated TV window -- loses a divisional game and it goes to NBC. Two years ago, the NBC divisional game was the early Saturday game and CBS only had one divisional game.

Last year, the NBC divisional game was the early Sunday game and Fox only had the one divisional game. This year, CBS lost the extra divisional game.

The NFL keeps the 1 p.m./4:40 p.m. EST windows for the first two rounds of the playoffs because those are traditional start times during the season. It's been about a decade since the conference title games went to the 3 p.m./6:40 p.m. EST starts and rotated between Fox and CBS so they would alternate getting the late/window, no matter where the games are played.

The Super Bowl has been a 6:30/6:40 p.m. EST start for nearly three decades.

The reason? The NFL has always pushed that its playoff games on school/work nights don't start to where kids/adults have to stay up until ungodly hours (hi: NBA Finals, World Series) that they can't catch/it becomes an issue. (I've always loathed that theory. People will watch no matter the hour.)

I'm safe in saying this is the latest-starting NFL playoff game on a Sunday ever.

Three Pittsburgh drives. Three field goals. The Steelers are wasting way too many opportunities. (Though Bell was right to argue on that last third down. The linebacker grabbed his arm right before the ball arrived.)

Give Peters some credit. That was a hell of a play to pull the ball away from Brown in the end zone.

DuPree just embarrassed KC's offensive tackle, hits Smith and forces and easy INT.

And the Steelers wasted the opportunity with a tipped pass that was intercepted in the end zone. Once again, the Steelers should have run the ball from the five. The Chiefs are doing a great job in the red zone, but the Steeler giving them way too much help.

Collinsworth with a good observation that it was a hot read, but they should have stuck with the regular play. That is twice inside the five yard line that Bell didn't touch the ball.

Elias says Crosby's 51-yarder is the longest game-winning field goal in postseason history.

And the 56-yarder is the second-longest FG in postseason history, behind Pete Stoyanovich's 58-yarder in 1990.

Not a bad couple of minutes.

Don't give too much of a @#$@ about the Packers. My Ohio fandom is documented here. But watched that game in a bar in Madison. That was fun.

Bell is already over 100 yards rushing, but Roethlisberger has called audibles to plays to nk two drives. I think the Chiefs will do more on offense in the second half, so this could end up very costly.

Pittsburgh up, 12-7, but could very easily have a hell of a lot more.

Texas giving those visiting Packers fans a raspberry in the form of a tornado warning ...

Is there a team in sports that has more excruciating losses in the last 10 years than the Cowboys?
This time no one can blame Romo.
