It would be incredibly irresponsible. There's a non-zero chance that something, you know, important happens and the person the people elected should probably be the one in charge if it does.

Look at his cabinet choices, all of whom strictly adhere to the nihilistic right-wingworldview. An education secretary who hates public education and thinks it's now government's job to promote religion in schools and an energy secretary who wants to abolish the department represent just the tip of the (melting) iceberg. Trump may not be a longtime conservative, but he knows how to tow their line.

 

Anti-labor secretary nominee Puzder is apparently not so sure he wants the job. I'm guessing he wouldn't like answering questions about beating up his wife and settling millions of dollars in lawsuits brought by employees.
