@RickStain is absolutely right, though ... we can't know whether the vote total Trump actually got in the election that was actually held would have been good enough in another election that might have been held under rules that might have obtained.

I'm pretty sure Alabama would have won last Monday if the rule was that a lead is only valid if it's held for at least 10 seconds. Clemson only won because of a system weighted toward being ahead when the game clock reads 00:00. Phyllis (from Mulga) was going on and on about it, but I never could understand what she meant by "counter-fartual" so I tuned out ...

 

Imagine how good those numbers would be if Republicans weren't always employing the shift.
