What's to justify?

Trump won. With the advice and consent of the Senate, he gets to pick his cabinet.

 

And past performance is the best indicator of future performance.

 

But shouldn't he wait nine months? After all, the last nine months of Obama's term didn't count.

Take a look at how many of Obama's nominees were confirmed by the Senate by Inauguration Day 2009, and how many more were confirmed within the first week.

Many were confirmed on a voice vote.

Yes, but Republicans have now set the precedent that the last nine months of a presidential term do not count for appointments. Why can't that be applied to the first nine months?
