    Perhaps I should have been more clear: I meant in lieu of his inauguration speech, which was completely inappropriate. Being a bit more gracious and humble, as he was in the clip you shared, would have been much better.

    It wasn't.

    Having purposefully stayed away from the inauguration speech just because I didn't want to be in a bad mood heading to work I think I missed what you were getting at. Yeah when you don't have a clear mandate and the country is so divided the speech needed to be conciliatory and offer a positive vision for the future. Even if it was all BS.
