The fun part is they did go back and fix one of the errors, changing historical to historic, but missed the others. Then there was another tweet blaming a staffer, meaning either she has other people tweeting for her or she's lying to cover up a silly mistake.

 

Great. Now explain to us how that is going to work and do it without stealing money from public education to pay for religious education.

They already have a choice. Nobody is telling people they can't pay to send their children to religious schools.

Or, and this is a novel idea, teach your children about their faith at home or take them to your chosen house of worship.

As often as I've sniped at Chuck Todd for being a lightweight, I have to give him credit here. He hung onto his question like a bulldog and refused to let her pivot out.

When speaking to the panel about it just afterward, he said that it really came down to the old Groucho Marx line, "Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?"

Well done. We are going to need to see a lot more of this.
