There's some major yet shitty manipulation going on there. The Washington Monument almost looks like it's a 90-degree right turn from the Capitol steps (hint: it isn't).

The photo, used side by side with President Obama's 2008 Inaugural, all over twitter -- by folks like the NYTimes official account -- clearly wasn't taken during his address, when the crowd was at its largest.

 

Is this all an elaborate ploy by establishment Republicans to get us to appreciate them more moving forward? IT'S WORKING. CALL OFF THE GAG.

 

Holy shit, even Spicer has admitted at this point that he was full of it.

 

He admitted what? That the crowd wasn't as big as Obama's, which is true.

But, some of the photos of the inauguration made it look like no one was there, which isn't true either.

(As opposed to many of the parade grandstands, which were nearly empty -- supposedly because of a transportation/timing issue.)

 

Gosh, the guy who ran against two dozen indistinguishable Republican primary challengers and the worst candidate ever put up by the Democrats just cannot catch a break.
