I will say this. Trump's defenders on this board have come out and taken a position. I disagree, but they're standing. Almost all Republicans in Congress won't answer phone calls or emails. Gutless yellow pukes.

 

On my Yahoo news feed, they're is a story with a headline of "Trump says travel ban working out very nicely."


Above it is a red breaking news ribbon with the headline of the judge ordering a halt to the travel ban.

This is the world we live in.

 

They must be special snowflakes who need their safe spaces.

So most people assumed when the ban was announced it would be put in place in an orderly and fair fashion, meaning approved visas would be honored even if no new ones were to be issued. It was also assumed it would not apply to green card holders even if no more green cards would be issued. A lot of people didn't like this but there would not have been mass protests.

At the minimum applying a travel ban for existing green card holders without (using due process) to revoke their status is clearly illegal/unconstitutional. Yet we have US attorneys, Federal employees who took an oath to support the constitution, arguing in Federal court for clearly illegal practices. Amazing.

Yes it could be a fuck up. But Trump rather than admitting it was done too hastily or placing the blame on subordinates, says it was done on purpose and lies about how well it is working. The personal stories of intentional cruelty to not only innocent but patriotic immigrants will be damaging. In other words he takes the absolute worse political stance possible. WTF

 

What else did you expect?

 

It was a hideous day. He's been a hideous president in just one week! He and his advisers are not fit to run a school district, much less a country.
