Here is a preview of the Budweiser Super Bowl ad:

The ad is going to tell the story of Adophus Busch's 1857 journey as an immigrant from Germany to St. Louis. ...

Aside from the fact that what happened on Friday and this weekend was as antithetical to American values as the Alien & Sedition Acts, Japanese citizens being interned during WWII and the McCarthy hearings. ... If anything on earth can dispel this myth the administration keeps trying to advance that this is just "hysterical voices on TV" and that the public firmly supports their bigotry. ... there is no way Budweiser airs that sort of thing unless they believe the exact opposite is true. Budweiser has no guiding principles when it comes to something like this. They are just trying to sell beer. They will opportunistically strike wherever they see an opportunity to create buzz and appeal to the most people. Budweiser knows what most of us inherently know: Most Americans don't see what happened this weekend and feel good about it or feel that it was a right thing.

Is from Germany to St. Louis anything like from Milan to Minsk?

Right. Joe is saying the Times is wrong -- or that the facts have changed since the article was written.

What do we think of Frum's position here:

As usual, the reporting on this has been terrible. The Huffington Post posted info on the shooters taken from a Reuters parody account.

A lot of the early reactions will look pretty dumb if this report proves true.

I don't necessarily disagree with Frum's arguments. There is some merit to them, and I've commented on them in this thread.

But this executive order was a massive fuck up in execution and tone.

And everything about this weekend indicates that The Trump folks are smarting from the fact that they're not greeted as great Americans for what they did here. And that's troubling. They. Don't. Get. It.

Or maybe Bannon does get it and likes it. Which is worse!
