Turns out -- it wasn't home grown!

It just wasn't right wing extremism, imported from America.

It was Islamic hatred, invited in by the Canadian PM.

You think that people are reporting falsely to sustain a narrative. I don't think that's how it happens. I think that they have internalized a narrative, and jump to conclusions in ways that are shaped by their internalization of that narrative.

Sure, it's true. It's Doc's masterwork, showing the big-time Facebook friends he has collected from this site how far he is willing to go to defend and protect their honor. That's why it exists.

OK. But, those two things are very close to each other.

It's a close mindedness that journalists ordinarily mock.

But, they don't see the problem within themselves.

Where is this information coming from? The Globe and Mail isn't confirming anything beyond the names of the two men arrested, one of which is a 'pure laine' Quebecois name.

The Fox News.com story includes the Moroccan origin fact, as well as the fact that they shouted, "Alahu Akbar!"

Not really true, and it's something we all should have come to grips with a few months back.

Most of the people advancing this narrative believe it, however wrong as it may be. There's a big difference between that and knowingly putting out falsehoods.

I agree with shottie here. (BTW, he is definitely in the running for Most Improved Poster, 2017.)

@YankeeFan, you care about motivation more than any poster here. So you don't get to write it off now as unimportant. Journalists intentionally spreading falsehoods to advance a narrative is pretty insidious. Journalists spreading falsehoods because they are conditioned to believe them is simply incompetence.

Guarantee you that from his new perch on the NSC, Steve Bannon will be leaking sensitive information to France's National Front, Alternative for Germany and all the other fascist parties trying to fuck up Europe as badly as we've fucked ourselves over. These sick fucks want a race war and they're probably going to get it.

@YankeeFan , if you could only use one, would it be lol or narrative?

Conway didn't say media members should be fired for inaccurate reporting.

She advocated firing the meanypants meanies who say mean things about the president.
