As much as I'd like to see it, when I see him off the tee I just can't see it. You can only spray your drives if you're crazy long and you basically flyover the worst stuff (which was he was enjoying before). Tiger's just a bit above average now so he's getting in the worst trouble now.

He needs to make some cuts before he can consider contending in a major. Let's see where he's at after Honda (no slouch of a course). I don't expect anything from him at Riviera (he's avoided that place because he's done so poorly there). Dubai? Who knows. Again, make a cut first.

Woods is now 40. He's hit the age where even without all the problems he's had with his health and game, it'd be considered out of the ordinary for him to win majors.

    Fuck no.

If he gets his driver straight, the pitching yips will reappear. If the yips go away, the putter will act up. If the putter is true, the glutes will deactivate.

He isn't coming close to a top 10 finish in a major. Hell, I doubt his body holds up until the PGA.

I followed his ball tracker throughout his two rounds last week. And if he can't recover out of rough any better than that at Torrey Pines, it's going to be a disaster in majors rough. And yes, every time he hits out of rough, I'm still half-expecting him to come up shaking his arm or wrist like it's on fire.

I take absolutely no joy in saying it. But until the big club starts landing him in the fairway, there's nothing to anticipate.

    Shot a birdie-free 77 today at Dubai.

Wow. Could you possibly read that putt any worse?

I watched part of the coverage last night.
Aside from the opening tee ball, he didn't hit the ball all that terribly. Putted like absolute garbage.

That putt would be a terrible shot even from a rank amateur. Read and length, both off-the-charts wrong.
