    I would think infinite wouldn't really fit into that framework, as you can't work backward from a point that doesn't exist. The game itself implies a finite number of iterations.

    Why am I now thinking of that end-of-tour press conference from Spinal Tap?

    Have you read his book? I feel like that is pretty explicitly his message. He doesn't hide it. Bootstraps, etc.

    It comes later. I was going through the same thoughts as I started reading it. I don't recall if it was specifically Trump that he discussed, but certainly the drift toward Republican culture warriors politicians.

    Yeah, I read it. I didn't sense him beating that drum very loudly. It really read, to me, like a "this is what life is like here" kind of thing.

    I did plan on picking up the book so I could skip ahead and look for parts like that. Guess I have to re-ignite that plan.

    If you sit down for an extended conversation with a hillbilly (and a book can be seen as a type of one-sided conversation) it's gonna start with talking about mama and daddy's people and the hollers they came from. No way around it.
