Suddenly feeling very thankful that my college newspaper was very different from yours.

 

The biggest difference between him and me is that I've never walked into a room, online or in the physical world, carrying the attitude that the room is lucky to have me. I always think of it the other way around.

 

You say all this as if you've never seen anybody talk shit about another poster's life or career before. Or perhaps you didn't notice until someone did it to you.

 

I'm never a fan of it. But everyone here knows who he is. They know he's a success. To use that success as an anvil like he does is very unseemly. To me, it also very much disrupts the (small "D") democratic vibe that makes this place go. But he can't handle bring just another poster.

 

Anvil, like dropping it onto someone from above?

 

Had anyone here heard of this Milo guy before last night? I have to confess I am not in the habit of tracking young foreign-born Birch Society members.
