Stop with the Yogi Ferrell threadjack during the NBA's game of the year.

They go lower than that. In baseball they rank travel T-ball teams.

Do you believe LeBron is pushing for a Love-for-Melo trade? I don't buy that for a second. LeBron isn't dumb.

This reminds me of Peter Vescey's days as the courtside reporter for NBA coverage. Each week he had another exclusive about the Knicks being on the verge of trading their backup shooting guard to the Lakers for Kobe Bryant and a first round pick.

No, I don't believe it, but LeBron rumors are an enjoyment unto themselves.

Jesus, Phil. You're making Melo look like the good guy here.

The column in question, by Kevin Ding:

Phil Jackson, Knicks Doomed by Wanting Carmelo to Be Something He Is Not

Anthony is a likable person who just happens to be nothing near Jordan or Bryant in will to win. No, Jackson never thought Anthony had that fire, but he thought he could balance Anthony's ball dominance by teaching teamwork and converting talent into a clear net positive.

That was part of the formula with Jordan and Bryant.

This season has further disproved that formula with Anthony.

It's amazing how many writers are willing to carry water for Phil.

Is there anything to suggest that Phil is even a moderately competent front office guy?
