Pretty mean-spirited and assholish statement by the Knicks. Is there any evidence that Oakley needs "help" beyond this one incident?

Knicks might wanna keep in mind that this man they're demeaning is one their fan base adores.

Knicks are an embarrassment. I used to be a fan but can't support them at all under the Dolan regime. Nothing likable about them. Dolan has no concept of what the fans want, as evidenced by the fact he hasn't taken a long walk off a short pier.

In the grand tradition of "TheWarriorsAreOnly44-8WhyDoTheySuckSoHard!!!!!???" stories, I give you "AaronGordonDoesn'tDunkEnoughAnyMoreWhyIsHeAlreadyWashedUpHeIsTwentyOneHeSucks!!!!Eleventy!111"

What Happened To Aaron Gordon’s Dunks?

Man, you just don't want any beat stories ever, do you?

His dunks are way down. He is best known for dunks. It's a story.

I'm guessin you didn't read your link, because you've utterly mischaracterized its point.

It's actually a damn solid analysis--and the drop in dunks is not attributed to a decline in his play, but rather the changes made to Orlando's system this year.

I thought that only the "Esquire" threads were no-joking zones.

So do you think the stories are OK? Or do you think they're exaggerations? You keep posting these things wondering why they were written. Are we just discussing your jokes, then?

Unless dunks are suddenly worth more points than regular shots, I fail to see the importance of how many Gordon has. Especially when his scoring average is up this year anyway.

Wait, are we questioning whether a key player getting fewer point-blank, 99 percent efficient shots is an issue worth discussing and trying to understand?

Well, perhaps some hoop nerds just enjoy analyzing how a new coach/system has changed the way the league's best dunker plays. A topic doesn't have to be "important" to interest readers.

    Sure, go nuts.

I was just saying it's not really "news."

Feature stories suck. Nobody should ever write them.
