    I don't know if he's any good, but Josh Jackson has an All-World afro. Love it.

    The Falcons are holding on Line 1.

    It's. Never. Ever. Ever. Ever. Over.

    The last time I angrily stormed out of the house to go for a walk before one of my team's games was over was the 2014 AL Wildcard. I might have to try it more often.

    UConn's women have missed out on a conference title four times since the Kansas men last did. And now the BBOC has the whip hand again.

    As a lifelong KU fan, I find this 16-17 squad so damn unsavory with all of the off-court crap. Between that and their lack of urgency in the first 30 minutes of most games, I'm pretty indifferent to this crew.

    Mine was Virginia-VT football in 1998, which was not the last time the Wahoos won in that series, but it was the time before that.

    People are seriously comparing Duke to fucking Georgetown? I mean, they could botch the hire (lord willing), but that's just silly. They've been the best program in the country for nearly three decades.

    Let's look at some examples in my lifetime ...

    * St. John's post-Carnesecca ... pedestrian bordering on laughable
    * Georgetown post-Thompson ... some strong years but by no means close to the JT championship years
    * Arizona post-Olson ... some good years but mostly meh
    * UNLV post-Tark ... really?
    * UNC post-Dean ... had to go through the Guthridge and Doherty years before getting Roy to re-establish the dynasty
    * UCLA post-Wooden ... obviously ... sure they won the title in '95 but they've been a run-of-the-mill program for a long time
    * Kentucky post-Sutton/Pitino/Tubby had a 2-year burp with Gillespie before Calipari came in and righted the ship

    Only Kansas (that I can think of off the top of my head) has maintained the highest levels through different hires since 1964

    You know, I may be on total fanboi denial mode, but following the way Bill Self has handled discipline in the past and talking to people people who work there, I think the off court stuff is a bit overblown by some (cough, Kevin Keitzman). The only thing clear is that Carlton Bragg smokes weed and is stupid.

    Arizona is in great shape as a program. Kentucky, none of the coaches you mentioned are the Coach K equivalent legend who was impossible to follow. That was Rupp.

    I agree that comparing Duke and Georgetown is quite a stretch. Facilities alone make it a completely different situation. The one similarity is I get the feeling Duke might make a similar mistake of insisting the next hire(s) stay in the "family."
