Look if the established outlets don't like this, there's a way to stop it. Don't put Spicer on TV. Don't quote him (no reason they should, he's proven a liar). Trump can't stand being ignored. That's how Xi Jinping got him to climb down on Taiwan. He just gave Trump the silent treatment.

 

Are those families being told their kids didn't really die and it was all faked? Are they accused of being crisis actors? Have Sharpton defenders demanded they exhume their loved ones bodies to prove they are dead?

Unless the answer is "yes" to those questions, STFU. Alex Jones is batshit crazy and no rational person - let alone the future POTUS - should be on his program.

There were a dozen questions on Flynn and issues surrounding him. Then Federalist guy went on his rant and asked his totally unrelated to anything that has happened in the last two weeks question. He might as well have asked if there was a sale at Penneys.

How the rest of the press corps didn't burst out laughing is beyond me.

Couple that with Fox News soft-pedaling the breaking news of the resignation last night by showing repeats of O'Reilly and Carlson, and you have the conservative media in a nutshell.

 

That's not really the business model of "the established outlets" ...

 

What you fail to grasp is that saying "Alex Jones is a horrible person and Trump shouldn't be around him" doesn't mean "Sharpton is great and wonderful!"
