ICE detains domestic-violence victim in court

 

This kind of stuff is getting more attention now because of the new administration's hard line on immigration, but it happened with some regularity under the previous administration.

I may have managed to shuffle a case through a little faster than normal one or twice when I was aware ICE wanted to speak to a DV victim.

EDIT: I should add, victims are supposed to be eligible for U visas, but fuck if I ever saw one actually go through. I certified a number of really egregious cases and to my knowledge none of them ever got the U visa.
