So, have we all concluded that this story is false?

I'd guesss the Trump administration is leaking fake stories, in an effort to discredit the media, and make them second guess themselves when they to get a genuine leak.

Did the AP even see the memo they reported on?

The only person in America on either side of the debate who thinks MSNBC is remotely conservative. I must have missed the part where Rachel Maddow was fired.

They call it a "draft memo obtained by the Associated Press." Unless they're lying, it's pretty clear they saw it.

The story isn't false. It could be a trial balloon or even a deliberate red herring, but the memo exists and it appears to have come from Trump's team. That they shelved it or didn't really mean it or whatever else does not make the story "false."

Memo was published by Vox earlier today. It's 11 pages long. You can read it. Kelly signed it. He may not have written it, but he signed it.

What fundraising bozo wants to be ambassador to Canada?

Nothin against Canada. I love be it. But, it's not hard to visit Canada, and what, are you going to immerse yourself in Canadian culture? Send your kids to the local schools, so they can soak up the language and customs? Eat your way through the Michelin starred restaurants of Ottawa?

Give me Paris, Rome, or Madrid. Send me to Prague, Budapest, Vienna, or Moscow.

Ottawa? It's not even in my top five destinations in Canada.

A suspicious pattern is emerging for how the White House handles its most controversial plans

The incident reflects an emerging pattern noted by several top political reporters in how the Trump administration handles its most controversial policy proposals, and undermines the press in the process:

    1. Wait for a draft memo of a proposal to be leaked to the press.
    2. Refuse to comment when asked about the draft.
    3. Wait to dispute a story's accuracy until the story is published.
    4. Accuse the press of never having sought comment to begin with.

What's the old joke about Canada? Instead of French food, British culture and American know-how, they got British food, American culture and French know-how?
