This really is mostly a nothing burger as @MisterCreosote points out.

For adults, in a public bathroom, you're not going to see a penis unless you go looking for one. In a women's room, where folks take care of their business in a stall, it's even less likely.

And, if you simply go about your business, I can't imagine anyone making an issue of who uses what bathroom, even if someone suspected their fellow user was trans. And, inappropriate behavior is already illegal.

For kids, at school, where changing and showering might take place in conjunction with a gym class, it might be more of an issue, especially since a trans child's transitioning might be public knowledge, and therefore cause cause concern among other kids or classmates.

But, again, we're talking about a very small number of kids. Local schools should be able to, and allowed to, manage these situations, taking in the concerns of the child in question, and the concerns of others.

 

How is this meaningless?

How did something no one cared about two years ago suddenly become the civil rights fight of the ages?

Were kids not "protected" two years ago?

Where were the liberal activist who have made this their top priority two years ago? Were they on the "wrong side of history" then?
