I think "transgendered" is considered an inappropriate term by most trans* activists.

 

You know what happens when you assume.

 

YF, I'm on the liberal side of the curve. I think that gay and trans people should be able to go about their lives without being bullied or beaten up or discriminated against.

That said, I got nothing for the "Hetero-normative cis-male" descriptive language. I understand that there are people who make a big deal out of that. I support LGBTQ rights, but that does not require me to leap through linguistic hoops in order not to offend. If someone is that easily offended, that's their problem, not mine.

Nonetheless, @Baron was using a term that just plain didn't apply to the argument he was making. It wasn't an offensive term. It was wrong. Had nothing to do with the discussion.
