Nice weather meant playing hooky and helping friends brew beer...which means drinking beers as well:
Split a bomber of Wild Heaven's Height of Civilization - Blonde Barleywine aged in Tequila barrels
I split my homebrewed Black IPA, Cranberry Brown Ale and Mosaic Amber Ale bottles
Had a pint of a KBS clone on draft at another guy's house
Stone Jindala IPA
Did a "shot" of a 3-year-old barrel aged homebrewed Olde Ale with Dates and Apples straight out of the barrel.
Now...Rhinegeist Ink bomber with the wife

Friday Fun Day.

 

Nothing tonight.
Lots tomorrow. Michigan Brewer's Guild Winter Beer Festival in Grand Rapids. Temps in the 30s and falling, 30mph winds after basically two weeks in the 60s. Yeah, my body is going to be ready for the onslaught of alcohol, cold and wind.

So I hear..

 

Cookies and cream milkshake from Jacks, a local burger chain.

For as much as everyone longs for the good old days, this is a golden age of being able to get a high quality shake, made with real milk and premium ice cream, from a number of fast food places.

 

In Tampa for the weekend, enjoying the True Blonde Ale from Tampa Bay Brewing Co. at the moment.

Hypetrain with Passion Fruit and Guava, a very good triple IPA by Magnify. Don't think I've ever had guava, but it works in this beer. It's 10.5% but feels like a juicy drink with a little bite/kick.

 

Plain black coffee.
Cafe Bustelo - no civet excrement

 

Also black coffee, but maxwell house, kind of like the Michelob of coffee. would rather have bustelo.
