Agreed. Which is part of the hell of it. The objective of the first Gulf War was to get Sadaam out of Kuwait, which was accomplished. All the hawks who wanted to send Saddam into the arms of those virgins waiting for him on the other side seemed to miss the point.

All this talk of Trump wanting intelligence skewed toward his world view reminds me too much of the runup to the second war, with the report claiming Iraq had WMD that Powell presented to the UN. Talk about throwing a guy under the bus ...

And a really conservative district out in the Central Valley at that.

Really seems like W wanted to make his daddy proud of him. But his daddy probably knew it was a bad idea to get rid of Saddam.

Well, since we're back to politics.

His daddy had a chance and pulled back instead of rolling into Baghdad and taking Saddam down. He knew that was going to be a hornet's nest.

Sheer utter coincidence I'm sure that the two primary people selected to be shoved under the bus first and fastest by Team Cheney/Rumsfeld turned out to be Colin Powell and Condi Rice.

Getting rid of Saddam was a super awesome idea. But we should have done it in 1991 when we were leading an almost unanimous coalition and we were also the only superpower in the world at the time.

Will this be the move that brings @MisterCreosote back into the Republican fold, and gets him aboard the Trump train?

That's because he's a drugged old man ranting about Russia.

Chowdah! Seriously two bowls or chowder, two glasses of wine and $140? Hope it was really good wine.

Now that's how the desk of a working President should look.
