For a cheap cheesburger or three, you can't go wrong with Booches.

I do agree with their high rating on Five Guys, compared to other fast-food burgers.

I'm not too familiar with the West Coast chains, but it's pretty tough to beat the SmokeShack at Shake Shack for a fast food burger.

    Correct.
I think that was the only one they got right in the burger category.

In my January trip to NYC, I ate at the Shake Shack mother ship. It compares favorably with In-n-Out.

I ate burgers for several days in a row at the Miss Tupper Diner in Tupper Lake, N.Y., while on a camping trip in Aug., 1971, before my senior year in high school. I have no idea how they would stack up now, but they sure were among the greatest burgers I'd ever eaten back then, after about four days of trail mix and other camp food.

I passed an In 'n Out yesterday and in the drive-through lane, I haven't seen a line of cars that long since I got stuck waiting for gas deliveries following Hurricane Rita in '05. They're good, but they're not wait-in-line-for-30-minutes good.

The Chick-Fil-A near me is that way every day at lunch and dinner. Cars 10 or 15 deep, wrapped around the building. They've gotten to where they send employees out to the drive thru lane with iPads to take orders and speed things up.
