Wonder if they liquored up like I think RBG said they did last year.

Also, I call bullshit on Beshear's claim they were sitting in the diner watching the speech. There is a 0% chance they weren't watching the UK game.

What a scumbag. I don't necessarily disagree with the thrust of his message (although his use of "clapping like an idiot" just oozes class), but that's kind of how the game is played on both sides and I don't necessarily begrudge these folks a moment in the spotlight. If the coward hadn't deleted his account I'm sure it'd be easy to locate criticism of Trump's treatment of the Khan family which would be justified coming from someone who wasn't a hypocrite.

    TL;DR: I denounce him.

It was surprisingly adult, for the first time.

You liberals in the bubble should actually pay attention, so you know what to complain about, at least.

I was mocking how Trump always calls CNN and other polls fake news.

Right. But did you watch it? I can absolutely see why it was viewed positively. Others have said they wouldn't and didn't watch. I'd suggest to them to get their heads out of the sand.

They guy is has been a grade-A jackass for all of his campaign and every day of his presidency. During that speech, he finally came across as an adult. I can still disagree with his dumb ideas, but at least he's not acting like a petulant toddler. I hope it continues.

Would it have killed him to at least have the respect to call her Mrs. Owens?

That's the part that bothers you?

Oh, no ... his entire post was the work of a low-class scumbag. But all he could call her was "Owens' wife?"

The pettiness and silliness of some of the criticism of Trump et al reminds me of the criticism of Obama and his family by the right. The right has an excuse, generations of inbred racism. The left (Salon, Huffington, Esquire, Deadspin etc. ) should know better, they are normalizing some of the same type of stupid click bait headlines.

    (excuse me, on a rant)

"Betsy DeVos, President Trump's Education Secretary advocates for a return to segregated education in statement on HBC."

    or

"Betsy DeVos, Education Secretary, expresses admiration for Black Historical Colleges. The imprecise language she used comes under criticism from liberal academia in spite of the fact everyone knew what she was tying to say."
