That's incredibly weak, even by your standards, YF.

One highlighted sentence of one paragraph? And the accusation by Trump is that Trump Tower was wiretapped by Obama.

What you posted doesn't come fucking close to saying that Obama illegally wiretapped Trump Tower.

Here's the full article for those who might fall for this complete and utter bullshit.

This is the funniest argument ever.

Trump is arguing that he is under active FBI investigation, including wiretaps, and the Dems are arguing that he isn't.

Um, ok. He isn't under investigation.

WASHINGTON — The F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, asked the Justice Department this weekend to publicly reject President Trump’s assertion that President Barack Obama ordered the tapping of Mr. Trump’s phones, senior American officials said on Sunday. Mr. Comey has argued that the highly charged claim is false and must be corrected, they said, but the department has not released any such statement.

Mr. Comey, who made the request on Saturday after Mr. Trump leveled his allegation on Twitter, has been working to get the Justice Department to knock down the claim because it falsely insinuates that the F.B.I. broke the law, the officials said.

A spokesman for the F.B.I. declined to comment. Sarah Isgur Flores, the spokeswoman for the Justice Department, also declined to comment.

A statement by the Justice Department or Mr. Comey refuting Mr. Trump’s allegations would be a remarkable rebuke of a sitting president, putting the nation’s top law enforcement officials in the position of questioning the truthfulness of the government’s top leader. The situation underscores the high stakes of what the president and his aides have set out by accusing the former president of a conspiracy to undermine Mr. Trump’s young administration.

He accused Obama of tapping Trump's private phone. He implied the taps were illegal. Nothing in that story says surveillance was illegal. Nor does it say Trump's private communications were tapped.

Sessions would do well to grant Comey's request. Class, of what federal agency was Deep Throat a high-ranking official?

Why are you all taking thebait?

Trump tweeted something very serious. ... made an allegation. ... and it is completely unsubstantiated and we all know it is false.

He is a bullshit artist and a narcissist. The shitstorm that is his White House shifted from a narrative he wanted to boast -- what a wonderful speech he gave (which in itself was ridiculous) and moved to the Jeff Sessions stuff. Trump couldn't handle that. So he reached into his old bullshit artist playbook, and tried to change the narrative by slinging nonsense.

That crap works on the 35 percent of the population that are absolute morons -- it worked well, when he was an outsider running for president and using veiled racist, xenophobic, etc. rhetoric combined with nonsense protectionist rhetoric to appeal to the worst instincts in those people.

Now he is president -- as ridiculous as that is. It's a whole different ballgame when he does these things as president. It not only won't distract from all the negative things about him that he wants to change the topic from. It is starting to backfire on him. The sad thing is that when there is a real crisis at some point in his presidency, he runs a major risk that no one will take him seriously -- because everything with him is BS and hyperbole -- and people won't rally around him when he most needs it.

This shit show is just going to get worse as we go on. Next is the debt ceiling in two weeks and then people waking up to the fatc that the hopium they have latched onto -- the big infrastructure spending, the massive tax cut, the military spending, and the Obamacare solution (which at best will end up with Obamacare light which will be JUST as big a disaster) are are a giant fantasy.

Trump reads Breitbart story and takes to Twitter. That's all this is about.

That's not what Trump is "arguing" at all.

He has done lasting damage to our national institutions. The hope is that the damage done (and yet to follow) won't be fatal. But the next 10 presidents we elect could be Platonic ideals of civic virtue and this stink wouldn't wash off the White House.

If Trump and his people weren't communicating with the Russians, they won't be on the tapes, right?
