According to this, between 2005 and 2010, the total number of people who died prematurely due to a lack of health coverage was 134,120.

A Harvard Medical School study claims 45,000 died per year from lack of coverage.

    Dying from Lack of Insurance

Granted, they're not the most unbiased sources out there. Still, having insurance is better than not having insurance.

Former pro wrestler Superstar Billy Graham (his wrestling name, which he took after the Rev. Billy Graham) became a born-again Christian in the 1990s and would preach at services. He said he would go to services like Hinn's and feel pretty weird about scenes like you show. He said it was considered a "courtesy bump" for people to fall down when the preacher would touch you, but that some people took it way too seriously and took bigger falls than he took as a wrestler. He described one time when he went down, and a kid went down next to him, lay there a few seconds, then asked, "How long are we supposed to stay down here?"

Yeah, you did. Because they weren't reported. Because it wasn't "news."

Now it's different. Millions of more people have health care. In many cases, they are alive today because of it.

Republicans plan to take away that health care. And people will die as a result. And that will be news.

It's really insanity. Profit margins should not be a factor when it comes to life and death.

Certainly not any "pro-lifer" who opposes any sort of safeguard or safety net for poor mothers.
