I just watched it two nights ago.
I don't know how new or inventive it was, but I quite enjoyed it.
I'd put it in the top 3 of the Marvel movies I've enjoyed the most - the first Avengers, Cap 2/Winter Solider, and Strange.

Get Out -- as good as everything you've read about it. Probably better.

And if you haven't read anything about it, don't. Just go see it immediately.

Kong: Skull Island is weird, but enjoyable -- The Neverending Story meets Jurassic Park.

    There's also a post-credits scene you shouldn't miss.

Bridge of Spies. Really enjoyed it. I was thinking this Rylance guy is really, really good as Abel. Looked him up and learned he won the Oscar.

Just saw Get Out. The reviewer who broke ranks to deny it the 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes can suck it. It was a really creepy movie that wasn't beat you over the head with it. Absolutely fantastic. Mrs. Spartan, who isn't one for suspense/horror, found it enjoyable enough, which is high praise for her when it comes to horror.

Damn, what'd I miss? It was okay fun, not too much computer generated fight scenes. With the electric recliners, an enjoyable experience.

Very good, but I like Mangold's films in general. Walk the Line and 3:10 to Yuma are favorites. I liked the third act of this one better than The Wolverine. Still, I've seen all these story beats and tropes done in other movies. If I was more into the X-films, maybe I would feel it more. It's very good, but it's not The Dark Knight good for me.
