My aunt was one of those mothers who dressed her kid in 4 layers and two scarves if the weather got a little chilly.

Maybe that's what a lot of our regulatory agencies have become over the years. Maybe two layers and one scarf is enough. Is that possible?

The Centers for Disease Control are not a regulatory agency.

I wish he'd been kept on -- he seemed to have Governor Cuomo, among others, in his sight -- but I don't think it works this way:

Prominent US Attorney Preet Bharara says he's 'fired' after not resigning

President Trump asked him to stay on. Apparently, Sessions also asked him to stay on. Amazingly enough as the two parties can't seem to agree on much, Schumer wanted him to stay on. So, of course, they end up asking for his resignation and then firing him when he refuses to give it.

Even if you agree with the decision, it is clear that this was badly handled.

A few country club memberships and Luxembourg could have the world's best-informed intelligence agency as far as the US goes. Although doing official government business in a setting with no possible public record could prove handy in case anything goes wrong vis a vis the US Code.
