That was probably mine as well. Either that, or something from Grease.

First 45 I ever bought (from the record store in the strip mall up the street from my house at the time where my mother worked at the bank), and it's probably still with my vinyl in the crawlspace, was "Will It Go Round In Circles" by Billy Preston

What can I say, when I came to the fork in the road, I took it.

I just looked it up on YouTube, and scrolling through the comments, there are a lot of people talking about loving Rhinestone Cowboy as a kid. Three of us here so far. I wonder if there's something in the melody that appeals to children.

I stabbed someone with it and then felt bad about it after.

Either "Waterloo" or "Dancing Queen." My mom was a big ABBA fan and had most of their albums.

I was xmas shopping at the hallmark store last year and there was an ornament of a Santa Clause dressed up like a Rhinestone Cowboy, and if you hit a button on the side, it plays a few bars of the actual song. Bought it, of course. One of those Hallmark collectibles. They probably still sell them. It was the only ornament that sang a song, so it can't be a coincidence.

    EDIT: Here it is

My dad was a huge Beatles fan. One of my earliest memories is him, my brothers and I belting out "Yellow Submarine" on road trips.

I'm wondering where I heard it because my parents didn't really listen to music except when we were in the car and the stations they listened to weren't cool enough for MFSB. If it makes you feel any better, I also liked "Heartbeat (It's a Love Beat)" (much more age appropriate), but not enough to buy it.

    Puff the Magic Dragon.

How I spent my high school years is pure coincidence.
