President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

Dude. The WaPo story was published today, with a link to the post. That's probably where most people saw it for the first time, including the "LIB DONKEYS WERE FOOLED BY FAKE NEWZZZ" posts that make up a large portion of the comments. People have reactions to things they read. I can't for the life of me understand why people comment on this stuff using their real names, but please spare me the tut-tutting that only includes one of the groups of morons.

That's the right response. I don't know why I'm invested in this at all.

This pretty much hits it out of the park. Evangelicals think this is a Christian nation and that the government's actions -- policies killing public schools by boosting Christian private "academies" for example-- should reflect that. Yet when it comes to helping the poor, they suddenly think the government has no role to play.

Any idea who's making the donations? This suggests the donors probably weren't conservative Christian Republicans:

Plenty of conservatives who aren't evangelicals. Maybe America and the people who inhabit it aren't as terrible as liberals like yourself assume.
