Hope it turns out better than privatized prisons.

Some 250 protesters out of 15,000 were detained and later released --- after refusing to disburse after being asked to leave by riot police. I wasn't there (really), but I suspect some may have become a little violent. I don't blame our president for the way our local law enforcement handles unruly crowds who refuse to do what the police ask. Nor do I blame theirs.

Frankly, I would call gerrymandering a type of voter fraud. I'm not sure I would call the proponents of such autocrats, though. Just people who will do anything they can get away with to stay in power.

When my wife was a teacher, the principal (or whatever you call them over there) "encouraged" the teachers to vote for the United Russia party. Is that fraud? I guess so. But my wife just shrugged off the "encouragement" and paid it no heed.

LOL. Good luck getting a conviction on this charge.

But, hey, they got the indictment.

Increased cost to taxpayers, for one.

"This proposal was “scored” by the Congressional Budget Office last year and CBO found that this proposal would actually raise mandatory spending by $89.0 billion and increase the deficit by $19.8 billion over the next 10 years. Some privatization!"

Air traffic control 'privatization' is anything but

General aviation types are strongly against it because they just can't pass along the increased costs to consumers like the airlines ...
