Nobody said it was, but he fumbled it and couldn't manage a simple "My bad."

 

I doubt Trump ever gets impeached by this Congress, but sometime between now and 2024 there is going to be a fight between congressmen that makes the Charles Sumner caning look like a playground dispute.

 

The nutty thing about that, is while Sumner was nearly killed by the attack, Brooks ended up dying himself about eight months later from croup.

Clearly, Brooks lacked stamina.
