I could hop a jet to New York, go to Garry Kasparov's apartment, shoot him in the head, take the next jet home, and a few hours later the story would read as follows . . . .

"Former world chess champion Garry Kasparov was shot to death in his Manhattan apartment Thursday morning, according to New York police.

"Kasparov, an outspoken critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin . . . "

 

Truth is DOA when it comes out of the mouth of that asshole. Otherwise, it's alive and well in the lives of everyday people.

That is almost certainly true. He is and outspoken opponent of Putin.

His death would blend right into the parade of deaths of other critics and opponents of Putin.
