Well, that's his career total. He won't win another. He has a slightly better chance than most of us do of winning one, only because he actually gets to play in them. But the old Tiger ain't walking through that door. Old age, it is a bitch. These fucking young kids come along, all over the damn place, they're everywhere and they're good and they don't give a shit that you were THE MAN about a trillion years ago and they kick your ass regularly.

Golf is a weird game. Anyone can get hot for a weekend and pull off a stunner. So, until he's retired or obviously too old, it's hard to say Tiger will never win another major. Maybe even two. Tom Freakin' Watson damn near won one at 60, after all.
But there's no way in hell he's winning five more.
Even if he gets healthy and his game returns to a competitive level, there are three or four other Tiger Woods on tour right now -- young guys in their prime who are going to win multiple majors over the next decade. To rip off four or five in the decade or so Tiger has left as a credible PGA Tour golfer takes something he simply doesn't have any more. He's too hurt, getting too old, and is too stubborn to make the kind of run he needs to make to get to Jack. He's already looking at another lost year, with no end to his issues in sight.

I can't ever remember rooting for someone in a sporting event like I was rooting for Watson on that day.
I thought the old son of a bitch pulled it off after his second on 18 in regulation.

I was pulling hard for him, too. It was like he realized he was 59 once the playoff started
Has Tiger made a call on the Masters yet?

It seems this is my contribution: Thread locker AND thread jacker

No call yet. Betting it's middle of next week when he sends out a tweet. "I'm in."

Tiger Woods is about six weeks younger than I am, which means he's slightly less than a decade away from Champions Tour eligibility. The next major he wins will be sponsored by Jeld-Wen.

To the theme of the thread: Made 3 Ray Romano-level jokes, freaked out, made an inside joke with @amraeder . Not in that order. Surprised I posted more than six times, to be honest.
