What's so great here? Sure, he called a reporter. But in a brief conversation, he lied repeatedly.
He said he never promised to get rid of Obamacare in 60-something days. False. He repeatedly boasted he'd do it immediately.
He said today's result was the best outcome. If he thinks that, why did he spend so much time and political capital trying to convince his fellows partisans and apologists to vote for the thing? Does he think we'll believe he woke up today hoping to rescind the bill without a vote?

It doesn't kill people who oppose Republicans or who might someday oppose Republicans.

Sounds like some Republicans aren't adhering to Saint Ronald's First Commandment.

As a full-time employed, insured centrist I'm wholly convinced that if I get seriously ill I am screwed no matter which care act is the law of the land.

Can anyone explain why I should be happy about this today? As long as insurers are for profit and I have no choice, the insurer is going to do what's in its best interests. That bell's never getting unrung; the rest is just political bullshit.

So you have no answer, or at least not an answer that you are comfortable sharing. Got it.

Are you capable of being happy about things that don't directly affect you?
