    It's Pink Floyd for me.
It's not the music, per se, but the fact that a DJ on the radio we listen to at work must play at least one Pink Floyd song per day during her on-air time. It just gets old.
It was the same back in the late-'80s when Tracy Chapman hit it big with "Fast Car." Local station seemed to take overplaying it to new level.

Journey. Boston. And other lesser bands of that ilk.
The former Mrs. T. would've raised you Arcade Fire. If we were still together, I would've had to lie and tell her I had a date with another woman that night if I wanted to go to their show.

For a semester in college I roomed with a guy who was completely berserk over Rush and Blue Oyster Cult, both of which I could take or leave. 24 hours nonstop of Rush and BOC.

I can stand some of their stuff sometimes now, but for about 20 years either one gave me an instantaneous gag reflex.

The guy in the room next to mine in my freshmen dorm played Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" basically on repeat. I like Sabbath, but that song hurts something deep inside me.

Had the same thing but with Zeppelin, which I never much liked to begin with.

Rage Against the Machine. Tom Morello notwithstanding (I like his work with Audioslave), all their songs sound the same. To top it off, a band that quote/unquote rages against the machine was so pissed off they didn't win an MTV Video Music Award, their bassist scaled the scaffolding at the theater to interrupt the acceptance speech of, who was it, Limp Bizkit? I have zero respect for those fuckers.

Similarly, I never cared for Nine Inch Nails, which also plays many songs that sound exactly the same. Though Reznor wrote "Hurt," NIN's version is arguably the worst mainstream rendition of it (Smashing Pumpkins and Johnny Cash both did it better).

Reznor's work on the soundtrack for "Seven" was amazing, though.

Isn't it well known that DJs use long 70s rock songs (Stairway to Heaven was the best example, but there's probably a few from Pink Floyd as well) to take shit breaks?

But Fred Durst is an absolute frat douche of the worst kind and whatever to take attention from that prick was good in my book.

Besides even the other members of RATM thought the "protest" was a bit much
