Can we start calling Goldberg the No-Selling Ass Clown?

4:45 wouldve been the shortest Mania main event ever. But instead we close with Roman for the third straight year....

Has Cena ever closed 3 straight? Has anyone since Hogan at 5-6-7-8? Jesus Christ with this guy.

If you're keeping score, in the Goldberg-Lesnar match there were:
    • 10 German suplexes
    • 4 spears
    • 1 Jackhammer
    • 1 F5

And that's it. No headlocks, no punches, nothing else. Four moves total.
It was fun for what it was, but a wrestling clinic it was not.

Hogan, technically, also closed out WMIX with a 22-second match. Not sure you'd want to call that a main event, but it was the last match and a championship match.

That was, perhaps, the most entertaining 4:45 match I've seen.

And Cena closed out three in a row from WM 27-30 (Miz-Rock-Rock).

    Triple H did three in a row in 20, 21 and 22.
Rock was in the finale in 15, 16 and 17.
Hogan, of course, was also in the main event in 1, 2 and 3.

Near as I can tell, that was it. No one has been in four or more in a row.

And, technically, he had a hand in IV, helping Savage. So really, he spent the first 9 Wrestlemanias closing out the show, either by himself, or with someone else.

And Roman is no hulk freaking hogan.

I really can't believe they're putting this guy over again.

    Alllthhhooooughhh ...

What if they use it to kickstart a genuine heel turn? He comes out and embraces the boos, talks shit about beating the Undertaker, and starts doing genuinely assholish things in an asshole way?
I'd much rather see the Undertaker win, but that's the only way they can salvage this.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother with this mess.

Maybe next year when the Roman wins at midnight the fans will give a shit.
