Where have all the Bob Seger albums gone?

Katmandu is easily one of the most annoying rock songs in history.

I defy anyone to listening to it beginning to end, and not have an urge to gouge out their eyes.

The original studio version was great. The sloppy noisy live version on "Live Bullet" just drags.

I vote for "Still the Same." Love piano driven rock songs.

Depends on his mode of transportation ... if he had to wait for a ferry from Ludington to Manitowoc, maybe he meant Rhinelander, Wis. ;)

(sorry, just showing my upper Midwest bonafides)

The original link was interesting, Neutral Corner. It's interesting to read how a combination of marketing, management and a low-key/semi-retired artist has led to Seger's older music virtually disappearing.

"Make room for my Seger LPs right beside your 78s/Nothing survives, but the way we live our lives ...."

Starting season 5 of Lou Grant. Always begin by reading the comments before watching the episode ... Seger reference ...

The song I had in mind (even though in reality it was released after LG was cancelled) is 'Even Now' by Bob Seger. It takes place between Rossi ending his phone-in about Kitty's execution and him being back at the office. Charlie and Lou didn't allow him to fly to San Quentin on the Trib's expense so he had to drive there. On the way back, the song plays on the radio. He stops the car when the opening verse 'There's a highway, a lonesome stretch of gray, It runs between us and takes me far away' is sung. He tries his best to keep his composure until the verse "And through the darkness, through all the endless days. Through all the changes and all the one-act plays" is sung. He shuts the radio off and finally breaks down.

"No Man's Land" is great too. "Against the Wind" is an outstanding collection of music.

Isn't that a young Debra Winger? Check out a young Matt LeBlanc at the 2:13 mark of "Night Moves."

Night Moves -- the song and album -- was a terrific accomplishment by Seger after hitting it big. Night Moves may be my favorite song, but the lyrics of Turn the Page are the ones that pop in my head when I think of Seger.

"Turn The Page" and the very similar "Blue Collar" by BTO were released within a couple months of each other in early 1973.

Who says journalists can't change the world? One article brought 40 year old heartland rock to the masses!
