1/4th of US doctors are foreign born. In a rural parts of the nation, the old country doctor making housecalls has been replaced with a Pakistani who came to the US for med school and now runs a walk-in clinic that is your only healthcare provider in a 25-mile radius.

 

If she (and Chelsea even more so) wasn't written about on a daily basis, I would have nothing to respond to.

I see the Magic Message Board 8-Ball came up "drop a 9/11 reference!" today.

 

A lot of companies rely on highly skilled and trained foreign workers who go to school here. Many rural US communities are served solely by doctors from India or the Middle East or wherever who go to school here and agree to work in areas in need of doctors.

 

Doing the job Americans won't do.
