Over-promising is what gets you elected. For example, you could say you're going to lower everyone's health insurance premiums, cut everyone taxes, have the biggest job-creating infrastructure program ever, build up the military, bring back coal mines, make Mexicans build a wall along the entire US border and bring down the national debt. Certain amount of people are going to believe shit like that.

 

Like I said, Trump didn't invent that approach.

 

So, words don't actually matter at all.
