Fair enough. Those same millions will be happy to see a war in Syria because they'll never come near it or any blowback. I hope to God there's never another major terrorist strike in this country, but if there is, it'd only be justice if it's one of those God-forsaken Rust Belt towns that voted for Trump because white men rule, dude.

Former US intelligence guy Michael McFaul makes the salient point that what happens if after this airstrike Assad delivers another chemical warfare attack? You'd have to assume he'd clear that with Putin first.
